शिक्षा मंत्रालय ने academic year 2026-27 के लिए National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) की application deadline 31 अक्टूबर 2026 तक बढ़ा दी है।
Revised schedule के अनुसार Institute Nodal Officer verification की अंतिम तारीख 15 नवंबर और District Nodal Officer verification की अंतिम तारीख 30 नवंबर है। आवेदन से पहले eligible students को National Scholarship Portal पर One-Time Registration पूरा करना होता है।
NMMSS का उद्देश्य economically weaker sections के meritorious students को सहायता देना और Class VIII के बाद dropout कम करना है। Scheme के तहत पात्र students को ₹12,000 प्रति वर्ष scholarship दी जाती है।
