Cabinet ने direct equity capital के लिए ₹10,000 करोड़ के SME Growth Fund की commitment मंजूर की

Union Cabinet ने SME Growth Fund स्थापित करने के लिए Government की ₹10,000 करोड़ commitment मंजूर की है। Fund का उद्देश्य ऐसे small और medium enterprises में direct equity investment करना है जिनकी business viability और scale करने की क्षमता दिखती हो।

यह policy सामान्य working-capital credit से अलग financing gap को address करती है। कई growing firms short-term जरूरतों के लिए loan ले सकती हैं, लेकिन technology, capacity expansion, market entry या professionalisation के लिए patient risk capital की कमी होती है। Equity business risk share करती है और loan की तरह fixed repayment obligation नहीं बनाती।

Official framework इसे Union Budget 2026-27 के broader MSME package से जोड़ता है और manufacturing, services, technology, innovation-led sectors तथा strategic value chains में investment का scope बताता है। Actual impact fund governance, enterprise selection, private co-investment, exits और capital-constrained firms तक पहुंच पर निर्भर होगा।

UPSC के लिए credit support और growth equity का अंतर मुख्य concept है। Government की ₹10,000 करोड़ commitment का अर्थ यह नहीं कि पूरी राशि enterprises में पहले ही invest हो चुकी है; disbursement और outcomes समय के साथ सामने आएंगे.
