Department of School Education and Literacy ने 8 अक्टूबर को PRASHAST Portal के जरिए inclusive education पर 30-minute sensitisation and orientation module की nationwide screening आयोजित की। 60,000 से अधिक schools ने भाग लिया और ministry के अनुसार related efforts के जरिए 72 लाख से अधिक teachers पहले ही sensitise किए जा चुके हैं।
Module Children with Special Needs (CwSN) के लिए whole-school approach बनाने पर केंद्रित है। Practical examples के जरिए teachers, special educators और non-teaching staff को accessibility, respectful interaction और support requirements समझाने की कोशिश की गई है।
Sensitisation जरूरी है, लेकिन पर्याप्त नहीं। Inclusive education के लिए accessible infrastructure, appropriate learning materials, special educators, assistive technology, classroom accommodations और reliable identification systems भी जरूरी हैं।
UPSC के लिए PRASHAST right to education, disability inclusion और implementation capacity को जोड़ता है। Participation numbers outreach दिखाते हैं; असली outcome यह है कि children with disabilities enrol, learn, participate और progress कर पा रहे हैं या नहीं।
