Inter-Parliamentary Union की 153rd Assembly Arusha में उस emergency resolution को adopt करने के बाद conclude हुई जिसमें climate-related disasters से निपटने और Himalayan region तथा अन्य vulnerable regions की resilience strengthen करने के लिए urgent parliamentary action की मांग की गई। Item Nepal ने propose किया था और India सहित अन्य delegations ने support किया।
Indian parliamentary delegation ने debate में भाग लिया और climate-related disaster resilience के focus को support किया। Resolution parliaments की भूमिका legislation, budgeting, oversight और international cooperation से जोड़ता है।
