World Mental Health Day 2026 से पहले केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने बताया कि 10 अक्टूबर 2022 को launch होने के बाद से Tele-MANAS को 47.75 लाख से अधिक calls मिल चुकी हैं। Toll-free number 14416 के जरिए free, confidential और round-the-clock mental-health support दिया जाता है। सभी 36 States और Union Territories में 53 Tele-MANAS cells operational हैं।
मंत्रालय के अनुसार mental-health services को 1.83 लाख से अधिक Ayushman Arogya Mandirs में integrate किया गया है और District Mental Health Programme 767 districts के लिए sanctioned है। MANN Jaagriti initiative का उद्देश्य awareness बढ़ाना, stigma कम करना और early help-seeking को बढ़ावा देना है।
Call volume access का संकेत है, clinical outcome का नहीं। Effective care के लिए referral pathways, trained professionals, continuity of care, emergency response और आगे उपलब्ध treatment की quality भी जरूरी है।
UPSC के लिए Tele-MANAS digital public health और district-level service delivery के integration का उदाहरण है। मुख्य governance प्रश्न यह है कि first-contact access को sustained और appropriate care में कैसे बदला जाए।
