August 2026 Periodic Labour Force Survey में 15 years and above population के लिए Current Weekly Status measure पर कई labour-market indicators में modest improvement दिखा.

Overall Labour Force Participation Rate 55.6% तक बढ़ा, जबकि Worker Population Ratio 52.8% रहा - March 2026 के बाद highest level. Overall unemployment 5.0% पर stable रहा, जबकि rural unemployment 4.1% तक गिरा. Female LFPR 34.8% रहा, जो year-on-year 1.1 percentage points higher है.

ये figures direction track करने के लिए useful हैं, लेकिन job quality का complete measure नहीं हैं. Labour-force participation, employment status, earnings, hours worked और formality अलग-अलग questions answer करते हैं.
