गोवा ने 1 अक्टूबर को Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026 के implementation की समीक्षा की। State authorities के अनुसार local bodies source पर four-way segregation पर जोर दे रहे हैं—wet/biodegradable waste, dry/recyclable waste, sanitary waste और batteries या expired medicines जैसी special-care waste category।
Officials ने 412 registered bulk waste generators, fortnightly inspections, 14 Reduce-Reuse-Recycle centres और strengthened grievance redressal की जानकारी दी। 2026 Rules ने 2016 framework को replace किया और 1 अप्रैल 2026 से लागू हुए।
