Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange-Patil Mumbai की ओर march की तैयारी कर रहे हैं, जबकि movement OBC inclusion और Kunbi caste certificates की मांग पर फिर escalate हो रहा है. Mumbai Police ने city में proposed hunger strike की permission deny कर दी है.
Mobilisation politically sensitive है क्योंकि यह Ganeshotsav के साथ overlap करती है और law-and-order तथा transport challenges पैदा कर सकती है. Jarange की मांग है कि historical Kunbi records के आधार पर ज्यादा Marathas को OBC reservation benefits मिलें.
Constitutional issue complex है. Reservation policy को social backwardness, administrative classification, judicial scrutiny और already OBC categories में शामिल groups के competing claims balance करने होते हैं.
