The Bharat Innovates Exposition being held alongside the BRICS summit is showcasing 37 Indian deep-tech innovations from higher-education institutions, labs and startups.

The technologies span areas such as AI-enabled cervical-cancer screening, marine robotics, renewable energy and advanced mobility. The event is designed to connect innovators with international investors, corporations, universities and research institutions.

The policy value is not the exhibition itself but the pipeline behind it. India is trying to convert publicly funded research and university innovation into commercial technologies, global partnerships and manufacturing capability.
