19th India-Vietnam Joint Commission meeting के बाद India और Vietnam ने defence तथा security cooperation deepen करने और military equipment की co-production explore करने पर सहमति जताई.
दोनों countries का strategic relationship maritime security, training, capacity building और defence exchanges में लगातार deepen हुआ है. Co-production relationship को procurement और exercises से आगे industrial collaboration की ओर ले जा सकती है.
India के लिए partnership Act East policy और wider Indo-Pacific engagement का हिस्सा है. Vietnam के लिए defence diversification strategic autonomy strengthen करने का तरीका है. Specific commercial projects, timelines और platforms के लिए अभी separate agreements की जरूरत होगी.
