The fifth National Steering Committee of PM-SETU has approved Skill Implementation Plans worth ₹735.70 crore for ITI clusters in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Telangana. The government says cumulative sanctioned investment has reached ₹2,171 crore across nine clusters.
PM-SETU uses a hub-and-spoke model intended to modernise Industrial Training Institutes with stronger industry participation. It addresses a familiar problem: employers often report gaps between formal training and actual job requirements, especially in advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies.
