NCR pollution review proposes closures after 150 inspections

The review covers inspections from August 24 to September 7, not a single-day crackdown.

A CAQM enforcement review has proposed closing three construction projects and one industrial unit, and sealing 25 diesel generator sets, according to a September 15 Environment Ministry release.

The review covered 150 inspections conducted between August 24 and September 7: 98 in industry, 45 involving generator sets and seven at construction sites.

The task force met on September 14. Its proposed actions should not be read as confirmation that every closure or sealing has been completed.

For NCR residents, the next meaningful measure is compliance and implementation. Inspection totals alone do not show how much pollution has fallen.
